18.02 2007 - 11:07:38 Bernhard Leibold | For a good stillife, it mus me a little bit sharper ! | 18.02 2007 - 13:45:03 Ricardo Báez-Duarte | Hello Bernhard. Thanks for your comment. I respect it but disagree. If this would be true, painting still life works would all be bad examples. So the question is if one may achieve something good in photography with out focusing ? I believe that apart from considering if my work is good or bad the answer is positive.
Best regards

Cross | A lovely composition, Ricardo...and it looks just the right amount of sharp.:) | 19.02 2007 - 15:20:41 Sofia Fararova | hi, ricardo. your picture brings a peace into my mind. i like a lot the light at the plate and its a bit blurred old-fashioned pattern. reminds me memories from the times of my grandparents. just one thing disturbs me a little - my eyes are drived to the top of the picture where the plate almost touches the edge of the photo. i personally would crop the picture a little from the top (just milimeter or two from this lower screen resolution), of course, knife at the right side should stay intacted with enought space above. the result is more pleasant to me. what do you think? it was your intention or perceive it a different way? or it is not important for you? |
